Consumer health data

Why this page exists

Some of what this site collects is health information: answers about sleep, hot flashes, mood and your cycle, and the simple fact that you visited a menopause site at all. Laws in some states — Washington (My Health My Data Act) and Nevada among them — treat that as “consumer health data” and give you specific rights over it. This page is the plain statement of what we collect, why, who touches it, and how you make us delete it. It applies to everyone, not only to residents of those states.

What health data we collect, and where it comes from

• Your quiz answers — nine multiple-choice answers about symptoms, given on this site after you agree at the start of the quiz.
• Your email address, if you give it — from the quiz on this site, or from a sign-up form inside Facebook or Instagram (Meta lead ads), if that is where you first left it.
• The fact of your visit — server infrastructure briefly handles your IP address to deliver pages, and our own database records that funnel steps happened (a page was viewed, a quiz was finished) without your name or answers attached.
• A deposit record, if you pay one — processed by Stripe; we hold the payment status and the email you used, never the card.

We do not collect location beyond what any web server sees, we do not use advertising pixels or session recording anywhere on this site, and the quiz has no free-text field.

What we use it for

• To write the result page you asked for, and email it to you.
• To email you about this program — only if you ticked the separate box asking for that.
• To count, in aggregate, which adverts bring people who find this useful.

We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it with advertising platforms, we do not build advertising audiences from it, and we do not use it to target you.

Who touches it

Service providers acting for us: Cloudflare (hosts the site and the database), Resend (delivers the emails), Stripe (processes payments — Stripe also has its own legal duties as a payment company and keeps transaction records under its own rules). If you first signed up inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta was the collection point of that form and holds its own copy under its own policies.

Historical note, stated plainly: between 29 July and 9 August 2026 a Meta advertising pixel loaded on this site’s pages, sending Meta standard page-view signals (IP address, browser identifiers, the fact of the visit — never quiz answers). In the same period an optional AI chat relayed what visitors typed in it to OpenRouter and Anthropic to generate replies. Both were removed on 9 August 2026.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can write to [email protected] and:

• Ask what we hold about you — we will send you a copy, and tell you which service providers have touched it.
• Withdraw consent — for marketing email (every email also has an unsubscribe link), or for holding your data at all.
• Ask for deletion — we delete your answers, your email address and everything tied to them from our database, and instruct our service providers to do the same. Honest mechanics: our database keeps automatic backups for up to about 30 days, so a deleted record can persist in backup copies for that window before it is gone everywhere; and Stripe retains what payment law requires it to retain.
• Appeal — if we refuse or you think we did it wrong, reply and say so; a person will review it and answer with reasons. Washington residents can also complain to the Washington Attorney General.

We answer within 45 days, we do not ask you to justify the request, and we do not treat you differently for making it.

Security, and how long we keep it

Data lives in Gladly Health’s database at Cloudflare, encrypted in transit and at rest, reachable only through this site’s own code and by us. Quiz answers and email addresses are kept while this program is being developed, at most 12 months from your last interaction, then deleted — or immediately on request, as above.
